Two ecologists have protest in the runway of the Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week while Roberto Torretta was presenting his collection for the next autumn - winter, in protest for the utilization of natural fur in the confection of the clothes.
The activists of Animal Equality, the coordinator is Javier Moreno, were detained after interrupting the parade for IFEMA's safety services who extracted them of the enclosure.
Carrying small placards where you couldread " FUR. Murder ", two interruptions of the show, one at the begining and the other one in half of the parade, went out to the catwalk where the models were stopping placed opposite to the cameras of television and of the photographers in search of media protagonism.
Anyway, it turns out contradictory that the protest has been
effected in a show where there was practical non-presence of natural fur.
Fur coats are elegant and glamorous... I see how they are controversial....but in all honesty are we going to stop using leather on the runway as well?
ReplyDeleteLeather also has welfare issues but not as bad as fur which involves such horrific things as skinning alive.
